Terms of Service
Effective April 28, 2026
These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of the Footing membership portal and website located at footing.build, operated by Footing LLC, a Wyoming limited liability company. By creating an account or purchasing a subscription, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a binding contract to use the Service. The Service is intended for use by business owners and professionals — not consumers purchasing for personal, family, or household purposes.
Account Registration
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating an account.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and all activity under your account.
- Each subscription is for a single user. Credential sharing is not permitted.
- Notify us at support@footing.build immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.
Subscriptions and Payment
Footing offers two subscription plans:
- Basic:$49/month or $399/year — access to Modules 1, 3, and 4.
- Pro:$149/month or $999/year — access to all 6 modules and the Pro Slack community.
Subscriptions are billed in advance on a recurring basis. By subscribing, you authorize Footing to charge your payment method until you cancel. We may change prices with at least 30 days' notice by email, effective at your next renewal date.
Cancellation and Refunds
You may cancel your subscription at any time through the billing portal in your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period and you retain access through that date.
All subscription fees are non-refundable. Cancellation stops future charges but does not entitle you to a refund of amounts already paid.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Share, redistribute, sublicense, or resell any resource or content obtained through the Service
- Use the Service to develop a competing product or service
- Scrape or systematically download content by automated means
- Remove or alter any copyright or proprietary notices on downloaded materials
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Service or other users' accounts
Resources downloaded from the Service are licensed for your internal business use only. You may customize and use them within your organization, but may not distribute or resell them in original or modified form.
Intellectual Property
All content available through the Service — including templates, SOPs, tools, blog posts, and software — is owned by Footing LLC and protected by U.S. and international intellectual property laws.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms and active subscription, Footing grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to access the Service and use downloaded resources for your internal business purposes.
Upon cancellation, your license to access the Service terminates. Resources already downloaded and customized for your business may continue to be used internally.
Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with third-party providers including Stripe (payments), Supabase (authentication and storage), MailerLite (email), PostHog (analytics), and Vercel (hosting). Your use of these integrations is subject to their respective terms and privacy policies. Footing is not responsible for third-party practices.
Privacy
Your use of the Service is governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference.
Disclaimers
THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND. Templates and documents are provided as starting points — they are not legal, financial, or professional advice. You are responsible for determining the suitability of any resource for your specific situation and jurisdiction.
Nothing in the Service constitutes legal, accounting, tax, or professional advice. Consult a qualified professional for advice specific to your business.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, FOOTING LLC SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.
FOOTING'S TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE TOTAL AMOUNT PAID BY YOU TO FOOTING IN THE 12 MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.
Governing Law and Disputes
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wyoming. Any dispute shall first be submitted to informal negotiation for 30 days, then to binding arbitration under the American Arbitration Association rules. Claims must be brought individually — no class actions.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. Continued use of the Service after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
